FSCJ Graduates ImageThe FSCJ Faculty Resource Centers (FRC), with dedicated Faculty Development Specialists (FDS) and Training Coordination, serve to empower faculty for student success by providing a range of essential teaching & learning resources as well as productive and collegial workspace / business office suite campus environments.

Whether you are focused on creating engaging presentations, implementing best classroom practices, pursuing career growth / professional learning, enhancing your online presence in Canvas courses, or fostering valuable connections within the FSCJ Community, the FRCs stand ready in collaboration and partnership.

Operations

  • Accommodations

    Your FRCs provide convenient access to productive and collegial workspaces / business office suites geared toward supporting faculty workflows. *Accommodations include:

    • Computer workstations preloaded with Microsoft Office 365 Applications
    • WiFi for high-speed internet connectivity
    • Self-serve printers and scanners
    • Classroom instruction supplies
    • Equipment checkout such as laptops, projectors, webcams, document cams, microphones, and more
    • Scantron devices
    • Private conference spaces
    • Lockers
    • Lounge area
    • Breakroom access

    We offer a range of synchronous and asynchronous trainings throughout the year that are geared toward empowering faculty in the following categories:

    Productivity
    • Learn how to leverage essential College applications such as Microsoft Office Suite 365 applications, myIMPACT, myLearning, myFSCJ, and many more
    • Learn how to maximize the College computers' operating systems for file management, organizational communication, and productivity
    Course Delivery
    • Learn how to master the many aspects of the College's Learning Management System, "Canvas" (and its related applications), to ensure masterful course delivery to our students
    • As part of the statewide online course design quality initiative, learn how to strengthen course design with "Quality Matters Standards"
    Communications
    • Learn how to manage classroom teaching technology -- including WebEx Smart Classrooms
    • Learn how to create engaging, well-designed rich media content such as PowerPoint presentations, video lectures, images, and web page design.
